CM: As is only natural, Dimitris Ameladiotis uses found paper in his work to clean his hands. For Ameladiotis, this material often triggers new works by further artistic exploration. On the occasion of some random signs resulting from strenuous activity in his studio, the artist visually intervenes onto this material trying to balance the random with the methodical quality of gestural creation. He was processing the pr esen t work was along with other works over a long time, until it acquired a sensory significance. In part, this Without Title work is evidence as much of the activity in his studio as of his artistic aesthetic. Working gradually but persistently, Ameladiotis is driven by intuition, until the process itself endows his work its hypostasis.
