Ogenia Arbitman was born on 28 September 1964 in Vilna, Lithuania and is an Israeli citizen since 1971. She received a B.A. and M.A. in English Language & Literature at the Haifa University (1984-1990). She studied painting at Antonio Matorosa's studio, Kiriat Tivon (2005). She furthered her studies in painting with Elie Shamir at Kfar Yehoshua and at Oranim Academic Colllege, Kiriat Tivon (2006-2009).
