Katerina Aslanidou was born on 6 December 1978 in Athens, Greece. She graduated from Pierce College and went on to learn painting and drawing at the Plaka School of Athens (1995-1997). She took classes in painting and drawing with Tasos Rigas (1997-1999). She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA (1998-2003) painting with Chronis Botsoglou. During her studies she received the Erasmus scholarship to further her studies of painting and engraving in the workshops of the Universidad de Sevilla, Seville, Spain (2002).
Katerina Aslanidou presented the following personal exhibitions: Kalliopi Arts Space, Chios Island (2006); Fragments of Nature, Monohoro, Athens (2008); and Portraits in the Market, Industrial Museum of Syros, Ermoupolis, Syros Island (2009). § She also participated in the following group exhibitions: ASFA Graduates, National Gallery - Alexander Soutzos Museum, Athens (2003); Polifonies, Aspro Café-Bar, Psyrri, Athens (2003); Painting & Constructions, Chora Cultural Center, Samothrace, Greece (2003); Painting, Art Hall 8 West (1998); Art & Technology Festival Mediaterra 01, Fournos Center for Digital Culture, Lavrio, Greece (2001); A Tribute to the Alumnae Artists of Pierce College, Cultural Center of The American College of Greece, Plaka (2006); Poetry, Kalliopi Artspace, Chios Island (2007); Landscapes, Tryfon Art House, Mythimna, Lesbos Island (2007); and Environment: Common Good / Common Responsibility, Chartre of Human Responsibilities and Polis Network, Syros Island - Corfu Island - Ioannina - Paris - Brazil (2007).
Katerina Aslanidou currently lives and works on Chios Island as an art teacher in secondary education.
