Pantelis Chandris was born on 13 April 1963 in Athens, Greece. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA (1982-1987), painting in the studio of Dimitris Mytaras. He received the following distinctions: Scholarship for Study in Greece, State Scholarships Foundation, Athens (1987); and Prize from the Jannis & Joe Spyropoulos Foundation, Athens (1992).
