Giannis Diamnadis was born on 23 April 1970 in Moursi of Northern Epirus. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA (1995-2000) painting with professors Demosthenes Kokkinidis, Jannis Psychopedis, Giannis Valavanidis, Marios Spiliopoulos, Michalis Manousakis, and sculpture with Theodoros Papagiannis. With a scholarship from the of the Zosima Brothers Trust Fund he completed a Post Graduate course in Fine arts at ASFA (2004-2006). With a scholarship from the Propontis Institution he created his Last Supper installation (2007-2009).
Giannis Diamnadis presented the following personal exhibitions: Athens Art Gallery, Athens (2003); and CK Art Gallery, Nicosia (2009). He also took part in the following group exhibitions: Creta Maris Biennial, Crete (2000); Zappeion Megaron, Athens (2000); New Honorees ASFA Graduates, Municipal Art Gallery, Volos (2001); On the Types of Matter: New Artists introduced by Jannis Psychopedis, Athens Art Gallery, Athens (2002); Modern Exhibition of European New Artists, Frissiras Museum, Athens (2003); Open City, Technopolis, Athens (2006); New Creators, National Archeological Museum, Athens (2006); Nescafe Coffartists, Athinais, Athens (2007); New Artists, Melina Mercouri Cultural Center, Athens (2008); ASFA Post Graduate Artists Show, Nikos Kessanlis Hall, Athens School of Fine Arts, Athens (2008); New Visual Artists, Post Scriptum Company, Athens (2008).
Giannis Diamandis currently lives and works in Athens.
