CM: Epitaph was a performance, whose main ingredient was a live sculpture inspired after ancient Greek funerary tombs. This performance lasted one hour, during which the model stood still as a 'tableaux vivant' (live painting). The nude body of the model is entwined in a telex roll, which Evangelatos had earlier painted over with his symbols. The background for this performance consists of two large-sized pictures on which Evangelatos had inscribed and incised various symbols. The Epitaph took place at the Contemporary Art Center of Viky Drakou in Athens in 1992, and was part of a great group exhibition entitled Variability.
