Ioanna Fotaki was born in 1967 in Athens. Between 1990 and 1994 she attended courses in painting by Stoyan Donev, professor of the Sofia School of Fine Arts. In 1993 the Cultural Center of the Athens Municipality awarded her the prize of painting dedicated to the causes of 'Floga' (Flame), the association of parents of children with cancer. In 1994 she enrolled at the Athens School of Fine Arts. She studied painting with Chronis Botsoglou and engraving with George Milios. She graduated with honors in 1999.
Ioanna Fotaki has received the following personal exhibitions: Palataki - Cultural Center of Haidari (1994), and ArTower Agora (2003 and 2006). She has also taken part in the following group exhibitions: Technopolis of Athens (2002), ArTower Agora (2004 and 2005); and Danubious of London (2006).
Ioanna Fotaki currently lives and works in Athens.
