NIKOS GIAVROPOULOS (Greece, Thessaloniki b. 1971 / act: Athens)

Nikos Giavropoulos Nikos Giavropoulos was born on 1 April 1971 in Thessaloniki. He studied interior decoration at Euclides Institute of Applied Arts (1986-1988), and earned a distinction in Art Direction at Lycourgos Stavrakos Academy of Film and Television (1993-1996).

Giavropoulos has participated in a great number of video productions, such as Red Kiss with Heresis Dance Group (1994); Oedipous-Medea, film by Spiros Charalambous (1995); Three Sisters with Heresis Dance Group (1995) ; Marry Us Please with Thessaloniki Theater group (1996); School of Scandals, film by Popi Legaki (1996); Miss Julia with Prosopa Theater Group (2003); Alone with Heresis Dance Group at the Megaron of Athens and Dandoulaki Theater (2003); Moments with Vis Motrix Dance Group at the Megaron of Athens (2004); Schools Shut Down with Flying Flies Dance Group at Endropia Theater (2004); Nights, film by Vana Pefani at Kelsos Bar Theater (2005). He has received the following awards: 1st Prize of Art Direction for Short Film Medea at Stavrakos Academy (1995); 1st Prize of Short Video for Madonna at Mediaterra-Fournos Mediterranean - Balkan Festival of Art and Technology (1999); and Fournos Annual Award for Nude (2003), Video Portraits (2004), metaOedipous (2005), and Afrodite (2006).
