Dimitris Gizinos was born on 9 January 1965 in Athens, Greece. He studied at the following schools: Royal Academy of Fine Arts, s-Hertochenbosch, The Netherlands (1985-1988); Academy of Fine Arts, Berlin (1988-1989); and Royal Academy of Fine Arts, s-Hertochenbosch, The Netherlands (1989-1990). In 1997 he received a scholarship from the Bosch Foundation.
