Sophia Kalogeropoulou was born on 8 September 1946 in Athens, Greece. She graduated from Pierce College, and went on to study Law and Political-Financial Sciences at the University of Athens. She also studied Music at the Athens Conservatory and the Studio of the Opera of Vienna, where she was a soloist from 1976 to 1977.
Kalogeropoulou made her debut in painting as a self-taught artist in 1990. She has also participated in many group exhibitions, both in Greece and abroad.
Sophia Kalogeropoulou continues to live and work in Athens, and her art is represented by Zoumboulakis Galleries, Athens.
