Betty Karoussi was born on 2 June 1970 in Athens, Greece. She studied at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design - SIAD, England (1994-1998) painting with Paul Buttler and printmaking with Paul Nelson and Jim Tearney.

Betty Karoussi is a member of the following organizations: Chamber of Visual Arts in Greece - EETE and Greek Engravers Union - EEX. During 2006-2008 she served as elected administrative consultant of the Printmaking Ephorate of EETE. She continues to live and work in Athens.
