GEZA KENDE (Hungary, Budapest 1889-1952 / act: Los Angeles, USA)
Born on 5 January 1889 in Budapest, Hungary, Geza Kende studied at the National Academy of Art in Budapest, and in Italy and France. He settled in Los Angeles in 1932 and maintained a studio-home at 1123 El Centro Avenue, where he died on 2 September 1952.
Kende was a member of the following institutions: the California Art Club, Pasadena, CA; the Painters & Sculptors Club, Los Angeles, CA; and the Society of Western Artists, Redwood City, CA. He presented his artworks at the following exhibitions: Society for Sanity in Art, Los Angeles, CA (1943, 1944, and 1945); The American Artists Professional League - AAPL, New York, NY (1945); Painters & Sculptors Club, Los Angeles, CA (1945); Oakland Art Gallery, Oakland, CA (1946); and Walla Walla Artist Alliance - WWAA, Walla Walla, WA (1947-1953).
