ASTRID KOKKA (Germany, Mecklenburg, Rostock b. 1937 / act: Athens)

Astrid Kokka Astrid Kokka was born on 26 January 1937 in Rostock of Mecklenburg,Germany. She studied graphic arts at Fachschule für Angewandte Kunst - FAK, Heiligendamm (1956-1958). She furthered her studies in painting at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste - HfBK (1960-1963) under professor Mac Zimmermann. She then completed postgraduate studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris (1968-1969). In 1969 she opened her first studio in Athens. In 1993 she opened a second studio in Berlin.
