CM: Panagiotis Linardakis' Still Life with Inkstand and Paper is a surrealist take on its genre. The depth of the image is traversed by a river, on whose banks rest sailing boats. The wavy surface of the water of the river in the foreground turns into wrinkled paper. The inkstand presides as a key component of the still life. The only thing missing is the fountain pen, simply bcause it is still in the hands of the artist.
Panayiotis Linardakis created Still Life with Inkstand and Paper in Paris. The work is a typical 'croquie' (sketch) on cardboard with China ink, which has been scratched in some areas in order to render light.
