Christina Mamakos was born on 14 February in San Francisco, California, USA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in comparative literature from Harvard University in 1994, and in 1997 she earned her MFA from the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford University, England.
Christina Mamakos presented the following personal exhibitions: Galini, Athens (2002); Mare Nostrum, Athens (2006); and Scape, Total Arts Gallery, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (2007). She also took part in the following group exhibitions: Anatomy Drawings, Dartmouth College, New Hamphsire (1991); Degree Show, Ruskin School of Drawing & Fine Art, Oxford, England (1997); Advanced Color Printmaking, New York University, New York, USA (2001); and Silent Dialogues: Multimedia Portraits Throughout Time, ACG Art Gallery, The American College of Greece, Athens (2008). She was commissioned in 2004 to do a 50 square meter mural in a private residence in Athens.
