Daniel Mulloy was born in London in 1977. He graduated from The Slade School of Fine Art - University College London with a First Class Degree Honors in 2000.
Daniel Mulloy decided that the moving image would best suit his creative direction. To date, Mulloy has received a great number of awards for his films, such as Dance Floor (2002) awarded by the British Academy Film and Television Cymru Award for Best Newcomer - BAFTA Award (UK); Cardiff International Film Festival DM Davies Award for Best Short Film (Cym); Broadcast Talent Awards for Best British Director Nomination (UK); Hollywood Black Film Awards Best Short Film Nomination (USA). In the United States Daniel Mulloy is represented by the Creative Artists Agency. Mulloy's first feature film Dad is planned for a 2007 shoot in the UK. It will be screened for the first time at the Edinburgh IFF and from initial responses looks likely to become the most celebrated of Mulloy's films to date.
