JAN MULDER (The Netherlands, Almelo b. 1955 / act: Utrecht)

Jan Mulder Jan Mulder was born on 24 April 1955 in Almelo, The Netherlands. He studied painting at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht - HKU, The Nederlands (1984-1989).

Jan Mulder's commitment to convey emotional and existential experiences through memorized or invented landscapes, results in vivid abstract oil paintings. Mulder uses broad brush strokes, pours and splashes paint over the canvas as abstract marks that accumulate in balanced compositions that reflect changes of light and space.
