Dimitris Papadatos was born on 5 September 1981 at Englewood of New Jersey. He was a student at the Evangelical School of Smyrna in Athens (1994-1999). He then studied graphic design and comics at Nassau Community College, Long Island, New York (1999) and furthered his studies in design without completing them at Skirball Center for New Media, Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (1999-2002). Owing to his life-long interest in the visual arts, Papadatos considers himself to be self-taught.
Papadatos has presented the following personal exhibitions: Sno, 44 Space, Athens (2008). He also took part in the following group exhibitions: Futurepark, Helexpo Technological Exhibition, Thessaloniki (2006); For Sale or for Sake?, Saint John's Street Space, Farrington (2006); Anathena, Deste Foundation, Athens (2007); 666, Wannajob Gallery, Athens (2007); Six Stories for Casio and Pencil, Upstair, Athens (2007); Nanogods, Upstair, Athens (2007); Hystories from Chixulub, Upstair, Athens (2007); Urban Legends, Epi Kolono Theater, Athens (2007); True Romance, The Breeder Gallery, Athens (2007); Art Athina International Art Fair: Athensville Project, Helexpo, Athens (2008). His art has featured in the following publications: Art Contribution, Where?, Mother Magazine #3, Athens (2007); an article by Nicole Bachmann in Fanzine Me and My Friends #8, Zurich and London (2009).
Dimitris Papadatos currently lives and works in London and Athens.
