Costa Picadas was born on 11 October 1966 at Ioannina, Northern Greece. Between 1986-1989 he studied at the Division of Contemporary Art at the École du Louvre of Paris.
Between 1985 and 2004 Picadas was engaged by many European and Greek publications, including Casa Vogue; Elle; Gala; Hola; Klik; Lipstic; Madame Figaro; Paris Match; Status; Vitrine; Vogue; and others. Between 1997 and 2004 he was photographer for Museums and Institutions including The Onassis Foundation USA and The Queens Museum of Art. He was also consultant and head of the Digital Photography Department at Peter Vallas & Associates investigation firm. Between 1998 and 2004 he contributed photographs to International Press Agencies, including Sygma Press; Gamma and Sipa Press. He was also freelance photographer for architectural and real estate firms, such as Brown Harris Stevens; JPHEIM & Associates; Costas Kondylis & Associates; and Donald Trump Park Avenue.
