CM: This is the bridal portrait of Ekaterini Marou, mother of the present donor, who on 10 October 1937 - when this photograph was taken - married Lyssander Kelaidonis. The photograph is typical of the art of Petros Poulidis, who is famed for the simple presentation of his portraits and the unaffected representation of reality. In this case Ekaterini Marou is portrayed in her residence with the available artificial light and a backdrop of flower bouquets adorning the evident furniture.
