Kyriakos Rokos was born on 27 May 1945 at Ioannina, Northern Greece. He studied sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA under professor Yannis Pappas. With a scholarship from the Academy of Athens, he went to Paris to worked with Costas Coulentianos and study at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts undrer César Baldaccini.

He collaborated with the Karolos Koun Art Theater, the National Theatre and the District Theatre of Ioannina. He published the following books: Designs (1972); Imprints 1967-1975 (1978); Travels with a Ballpoint Pen (Apivita 1994); A Dangerous Sculptor (Kastaniotis 1996); Sculpture in Plain View (2002); and 31 Designs and 1 Sculpture seek a Poet (2005). Between 1981-1983 he taught freehand drawing at the Vacalo School of Art & Design in Athens. He is professor of sculpture at the Department of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art at the Technological Educational Institute - TEI of Athens.
