Helen Sarris was born on 5 February 1956 in Athens, Greece. She studied literature and International Relations at Davies College, London. She received a Diploma in Fine Arts and Design with honors by the Inner London Education Authority - ILEA and a Diploma in Fine Arts with honors by the Byan Shaw School of Art, London. She also attended classes of the Postgraduate Program of the Department of Fine Arts at the Royal College of Art, London.
