Seiho Wada, better known by his first name 'Seiho', was born on 12 July 1949 in Kyoto.
Seiho studied painting at the Osaka University of Art (1969-1972) hand-dyed painting at Soun Yoshitani (1974). In 1976 he opened the Wada Studio. He furthered his studies in Sumi Ink painting with Ryouhei Fukazawa (1987) and Syopuhei Yamazaki (1996). In 1996 he became member of Syouhei Studio. In 2006 he founded the Bokusaian Gallery in Kyoto.
In 2009, on the occasion of celebrating the 110th Anniversary of Friendship between Greece and Japan, Megakles Rogakos curated the exhibition entitled Seiho: Sumi-E Traditional Japanese Painting at the ACG Art Center.
