Eleni Sidiropoulou was born in 1947 in Thessaloniki. She studied sculpture at the Jan Van Eyck Academie of Maastricht in Holland (1969-1974) with Professor Arthour Spronken.
Sidiropoulou has received the following personal exhibitions: Dimitrios, Amsterdam (1971 & 1973); Spronken, Maastricht (1974); Nicolas, Amsterdam (1975); Dada Gallery, Athens (1985 & 1991); Astrolavos Art Gallery, Pireaus (1995); Aenaon Art Gallery, Neo Psychiko (2001); and Astrolavos, Athens (2002). She has also taken part in the following group exhibitions: Yan van Eyck Gallery, Maastricht (1974); Exostis, Thessaloniki (1984); Bonapartes' Villa, Thessaloniki (1992); Dracos Art Center, Athens (1992); Art Center in Freedom Park, Athens (1993); Hellenic American Union, Athens (1993); Epoches Art Gallery, Kifissia (1994); Aenaon Art Gallery, Neo Psychiko (1995); Greek Sculptors, National Gallery of Bucarest, Romania (2000); and Nikos Perantinos Workshop, Paros Island (2001). In 1998 she received a commission to curate the roofed Swimming Pool of Rodios Dance School of Piraeus.
Eleni Sidiropoulou lives and works in Piraeus since 1978.
