LIA STAMOPOULOU (Greece, Athens b. 1964 / act: Athens)

Lia Stamopoulou Lia Stamopoulou was born on 21 August 1964. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA (1973-1980) under Nikos Nikolaou, Yiorgos Mavroidis, Dimitris Mytaras and Dimosthenis Kokkinidis. She took seminars at the City Lit Art Center, London. In 1989 Nikos Louvros and Lia Stamopoulou jointly founded 'Booze Cooperativa' as an alternative art multispace in the heart of Athens.

Lia Stamopoulou presented the following personal exhibition: Dessins, Galerie Koralewski, Paris (1992); Vourkariani, Kea Island (1993); Aquarelles, Galerie Koralewski, Paris (1995); Gallery 24, Athens (1998); Pastels, Lentzos Gallery, Athens (2002); and Re-Makes, To Milo Artspace, Athens (2008).
