Magda Tammam was born on 8 December 1963 in Stuttgart, Germany. She studied public relations and worked in this field organizing of scientific conferences. From 1990 to 1994 she was partly responsible for the European Program of the Department of Child Psychiatry at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens under the coordination of Associate Professor of Child Psychiatry John Tsiantis. Subsequently she studied painting at Vacalo School of Art & Design in Athens. Her thesis examined the history of archetypal patterns and their reuse today as part of art installations. After completing her studies, she attended seminars in the history and theory of art. She is a member of the Reconstruction Group, Athens.
In 2007 Magda Tammam presented the work entitled A Legitimate Form of Mourning: A Homage to Mona Hatoum as part of the Farewell exhibition / action. In 2008 she presented her work in progress entitled Rechurch: Sound Gathering as part of the Un-Built program, organized by the Byzantine & Christian Museum of Athens. Since 2008 she organizes the engraving workshop of Center for Training and Psycho-Social Support of Youth - KEPYE.
