Pantelis Tsatsis was born on 28 February 1952 in Serres of Macedonia, Greece. He was self-taught in painting since the age of twelve. Parallel to his studies in Athens, he attended the free workshops of the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA. His work in oil or watercolor is highly coloristic and mainly abstract. From 1969 to 1984 he presented ten personal exhibitions.
In 1983, parallel to his painting investigation, Pantelis Tsatsis founded the Artforum Gallery, which continues its operation today as Tsatis Projects / Artforum, at 12 Mitropoleos Street, Thessaloniki. Artforum has presented a plethora of artists, Greek and international, of which many are considered today to be established, while he still emphasizes on emerging talents.
Pantelis Tsatsis currently lives and works in Thessaloniki.
