CM: The Cherries of Tserionis derive from the theme of a video entitled Utopia. The video begins with the picture of two cherries. In a short while the word 'utopia' begins to form on top of the cherries. Various holes gradually grow all over the picture. After the entire surface is filled with holes, the holes begin to disappear as they appeared by inversion. The word 'utopia' also disappears, and along with it the picture of the cherries. The duration and the rhythm of the video evoke a breath. The picture makes its appearance, it reaches a climax and then disappears. Utopia is Tseronis' comment on the idea of the impermanent in the form of a still life.
