CM: This rare historical photograph shows the sign for Nikos Velmos' Asylon Technis (Art Home) on the façade of his residence in Athens, at 21 Nikodimou Street. Asylon Technis was in effect the earliest known modern art gallery of Greece, and the first to exhibit works by emerging - at the time - Greek artists, such as Yannoulis Halepas; A. Kalantzopoulos; D. Karalis; and Yannis Tsarouchis.
