CM: This photograph was taken by Alexander Voutsas on his visit to the Greek village of Artemission on October 2005. The picture reveals a number of superimposed reflections, including the interior of a traditional Barber Shop; the reflection of the background environment on the shop's window; and the mirror reflection on the Barber's mirror of the photographer's portrait. Voutsas was totally taken by the casual circumstances that came together upon encountering this complex scene. The index finger of the photographer's left hand is self-pointing in the traditional gesture of 'et in Arcadia ego', suggesting a great conscientiousness of presence.
