YUMIKO YONEDA (Japan, Matsue b. 1965 / act: The Netherlands, The Hague)

Yumiko Yoneda Yumiko Yoneda was born on 12 February 1965 in Matsue, Japan. She graduated from the Shimane University, Matsue (1987). She furthered her studies at Jan van Eyck Akademie, Maastricht, The Netherlands (1988-1990). She has received the following commissions: Akzo Nobel Art Foundation, Arnhem (1991); Stroom hcbk, three sculptures for sculpture road in the South Park, The Hague (2000); Banner: Language & Image, Municipality of Leiden (2000); Art-Pillar Project in Kersenboogerd, Municipality of Hoorn (2001); and Brabant Chamber of Commerce, Tilburg (2008).
