CM: Gerassimos Vassiliades was born in Athens in 1888, son of M.P. Vassilios Vassiliades (d. 1909) and the Bavarian lady Ifigenia Landerer (-1927). In the 1920s he was Adiutant of Admiral Paul Koundouriotes. In 1927 he was Naval Attaché in London. During his lifetime he was Captain in the Greek Navy, Member of the Greek Parliament representing Pthiotida and Fokida provinces, Minister of various departments including War, Commerce, and Information. Gerassimos Vassiliades died in Athens in 1966.
