CM: The National Archaeological Committee describes the present work as follows: "14. Red-figure lekythio of the Late Classical period (420-330 BC). The shoulder is decorated by a radial pattern. Under the shoulder runs a meander. On the front side appears a woman seated on a stool and drapped in a long chiton and a cloak covering the entire body except the left hand, which holds a flower bud. Behind the figure a veil appears to be hanging from the top of the scene." The description is confirmed by Professor of Classical Archaeology Lila Marangou.
