CM: The National Archaeological Committee describes the present work as follows: "6. Black-figure lekythio of the High Classical period (450-420 BC). The entire vessel is covered by black glaze except the front side, which presents a palmette anthemium whose leaves are outlined by black glaze. The vessel bears on the shoulder diametrically two rudimentary handles." The description is confirmed by Professor of Classical Archaeology Lila Marangou.
