CM: The National Archaeological Committee describes the present work as follows: "28. Small black-figure lebes (cauldron) of the High Classical period (450-420 BC). The lid is decorated by a radial pattern around its handle. On the body of the vessel and between the vertical handles appears a palmette, the helix of which spans on both sides in flexible shoots that yield smaller palmettes." The description is confirmed by Professor of Classical Archaeology Lila Marangou.
