Astrolavos Dexameni Art Gallery was founded in 1994 with the objective to give its own artistic presence in Athens. The main aim of this gallery is the presentation of young artists with dynamic works, as well as that of older established artists with new work. It presents exhibitions of art in diverse styles and forms in a contemporary architectural space, whose three levels can present more than one artist at the same time. At the top level there is a permanent exhibition space, for engravings, sculptural objects, artistic jewelry and a selection of other art objects.
Astrolavos Piraeus Art Gallery opened in 1986 with its objective to present quality exhibitions of various artistic trends, but also exhibitions suitable for an audience like that of Piraeus. Collaborating with established as well as with young not well-known artists, hosted a number of important exhibitions together with educational programs and other artistic events, which contributed to the creation of an audience at Piraeus as well as to the development of the cultural life of the city. Except from the exhibition space there is also an art shop offering engravings, sculptural objects, artistic jewelry and a selection of other art objects.
Astrolavos Artlife Art Gallery opened in 2002. Its prime objective is to create a multiform space at the heart of Athens that will cover artistic trends for a broad audience and at the same time to bring the work of art closer to our daily life. A pleasant space moulded especially to host at the ground floor a flexible gallery and a spacious art shop. The basement is a large space where a variety of artworks young and older artists are hosted. On the ground floor gallery are organized exhibitions by famous artists, while at the various sections of the art shop there is a variety of small size paintings art objects and art books. Close to the art shop are often organized specialized and in-focus exhibitions. The first exhibition that took place at Astrolavos Artlife was a series of works by George Zoggolopoulos, followed by rare engravings of famous Greek artists of the Diaspora, such as Theodoros Hios and Stephen Antonakos. The following exhibitions were Hyperrealist Whispers
, which comprised of paintings by Nikos Eggonopoulos and photographs by Andreas Empirikos, and the exhibition with paintings by Yannis Tsarouhis of his later period.
With faith in the care of artworks demonstrated by The American College of Greece, Astrolavos Art Galleries kindly conceded to the ACG Art collection works that throw light on interesting expressions of contemporary Greek art. This concession includes works by the following artists: Sofia Andreadi
