Artworks on display at the lobby of ALBA

The 20th February marked the official opening of ALBA (Athens Laboratory of Business Administration) in its new premises, ACG's Downtown Campus (6-8 Xenias Street). For this special occasion the College administration approved the ACG Art Curator's proposal to display two key contemporary artworks - Philippos Theodorides' Untitled [TheP2005unti] and Vassilis Karakatsanis' Netting 1 [KaVa2003net1] - at the School's lobby area. These two artworks are amongst the most extraordinary pieces in the ACG Art Collection. The first is by Theodorides, who is an up-and-coming Athens-based Cypriot painter. His Untitled is a well balanced composition painted on a found palette. The second is a electricity-powered neon work by Karakatsanis, who is an internationally acclaimed artist. Both of the aforementioned artworks are quite dynamic in conception and reflect well ALBA's motto "business unusual".

I take this opportunity to wish ALBA - Graduate Business School well in achieving its objective of generating and disseminating business skills and knowledge.
